Frequently Asked Questions:

What is a Wiki?

A Wiki page is a special web page that is specifically created for collaboration. This wiki will contain collaborative research projects which means you will contribute research that many people will access in order to create a final individual product. You must have something to "bring to the table" and it is not acceptable or possible for one person to do all the work while others sit around. Please note: You are each individually responsible for completing your assigned task within your group's project page. As the page creator, I can see who posts what and when.

How do I contribute to our class wiki?

You can edit a wiki page by clicking on the green "edit this page" button. Please be sure to save any work you complete in a word document BEFORE YOU POST IT so that you have a backup of completed work. We will work on the projects on in a word document first which will be your "rough draft." The class wiki page will be your FINAL draft. Click "save" to save your work to the project page when you are finished editing the page.

What are the Rules for posting on our wiki page?

  1. You may not post anything inappropriate. This Wiki page is for school work only.
  2. Your posts will be tracked. I can see who posted what or who made a change to the pages.
  3. You need to proofread what you post. This is your PUBLISHED copy. Watch how you're presenting yourself. I recommend putting everything in a Word document first to take advantage of the spell check option.
  4. If you use pictures or any outside information from another source (not your own original work), you MUST post a reference or attribution to the website or original author. If you do NOT do this, it is plagiarizing.
  5. You must work with your team members to review the final quality of all information posted.
